User Management
Overview
The User Management page in the Admin Portal gives you a complete view of everyone registered on DreamPlan. You can browse all users, filter by role, search by name or email, and view individual user details.
Access User Management from the Admin Portal at admin.dreamplan.sagargandecha.dev/users.
Viewing All Users
The user list displays all registered accounts in a table format. By default, users are sorted by their registration date with the most recent first.
User Fields
Each row in the user table shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| The user’s login email address | |
| Name | The user’s display name |
| Role | Their account role: Planner, Vendor, or Admin |
| Onboarded date | When the user completed registration and onboarding |
| Subscription | Their current subscription tier (Free or Pro) |
Step-by-Step: Finding a User
- Log in to the Admin Portal at
admin.dreamplan.sagargandecha.dev. - Click Users in the main navigation.
- Browse the user table, or use the search bar and role filter to narrow results.
- Click on any user row to view their full details.
Filtering by Role
To narrow down the user list:
- Look for the role filter at the top of the user table.
- Select one of the available roles:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | All users (default) |
| Planner | Only planner accounts |
| Vendor | Only vendor accounts |
| Admin | Only admin accounts |
- The table updates immediately to show only users matching the selected role.
This is useful for tasks like seeing how many active vendors are on the platform, finding all admin accounts, or checking the planner-to-vendor ratio.
Searching Users
To find a specific user:
- Locate the search bar at the top of the user management page.
- Type the user’s name or email address (partial matches work).
- The table filters in real time as you type.
- Click on the user row to view their full details.
You can combine search with role filtering. For example, filter to “Vendor” and then search by business name to quickly find a specific vendor account.
Viewing User Details
Click on any user in the table to see their detailed profile:
| Section | Information |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name, email, avatar, role |
| Account status | Active status, onboarding date |
| Subscription | Current plan (Free or Pro) |
| Role | Planner, Vendor, or Admin |
This view is read-only from the Admin Portal. Changes to user data (such as role changes or account modifications) are handled at the database level.
Tips
Tip: Use role filtering combined with search to quickly locate specific users. For example, filter to “Vendor” and then search by business name.
Tip: The onboarded date helps you understand user cohorts — you can see when users joined and correlate that with platform growth.
Tip: If a user contacts support, search for them by email to quickly pull up their account information and subscription status.
Tip: Regularly review the user list to understand the ratio of planners to vendors. A healthy marketplace needs enough vendors to give planners meaningful choice.
Tip: Check for users with no onboarded date — these are accounts that were created but never completed the onboarding wizard, which may indicate a drop-off issue.
FAQ
Can I edit a user’s profile from the Admin Portal? No. The user management page is read-only. Profile changes must be made by the user themselves or at the database level for exceptional circumstances.
Can I change a user’s role? Role changes are managed at the database level. The Admin Portal does not currently support role assignment through the interface.
Can I delete or deactivate a user account? Account deletion and deactivation are not available in the Admin Portal interface. These actions require database access to prevent accidental data loss.
How do I know if a user has completed onboarding? The Onboarded date field shows when the user finished the onboarding wizard. If this field is empty, the user registered but did not complete onboarding.
Can I export the user list? User list export is not currently available from the Admin Portal. For data exports, use a database query.
How many users can the platform support? There is no hard limit on registered users. The platform scales with demand.
Can I see a user’s events or vendor profile from here? The Admin Portal shows account-level information only. To view a user’s vendor profile, visit their public profile in the vendor directory. Event data is not accessible from the admin portal.
What does the subscription field show? It displays the user’s current tier — either Free or Pro. During the free launch phase, all users show as Free.
